Professional Background & Training
Dr. Anand Kumar is an exceptionally qualified and internationally trained ophthalmologist. Following his graduation with an MBBS and completion of his DNB (Masters degree) in Ophthalmology, he pursued subspecialty clinical fellowships to master the complex fields of pediatric vision care and ocular muscle disorders.
He completed a long-term fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the premier Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, Indiaβone of the largest and most respected eye care networks in the world.
To further refine his skills, Dr. Kumar completed an advanced clinical fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus, and Neuro-Ophthalmology at the prestigious University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA. During this time, he trained under the direct guidance of Dr. Burton Kushner, a globally renowned master of strabismus diagnosis and surgical technique.
In recognition of his clinical knowledge and dedication, Dr. Kumar was awarded the fellowship of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO, United Kingdom) in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Adult Strabismus.

Apart from his extensive clinical practice, Dr. Anand Kumar is highly involved in academic research. He has authored numerous scientific papers published in peer-reviewed national and international medical journals. He is also a regular speaker, presenting clinical case papers and teaching lectures at various state and national ophthalmic conferences.
