Following this, he pursued an advanced clinical fellowship in Pediatric Eye Care, Strabismus, and Neuro-Ophthalmology in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. He trained directly under Dr. Burton Kushner, a legendary figure in strabismology. Dr. Kumar is among the very few double-fellowship trained pediatric eye specialists in the country.
